Chen Shiquan, nicknamed respectfully « Old Chen » by his ID colleagues, is the most experienced technician on biogas projects working for Initiative Development (ID) in China. Mrs Luo and her granddaughter's life in Shenjiagou

 

Several dozens of kilometers away from the nearest town is Shenjiagou, a very poor village difficult to reach in Zhaoyang district (Yunnan, South China). Xue En Ping - a passionate villager

 

Xue En Ping, a Han (the main Chinese ethnic group) is 48 years, and lives in CaoHai in Dongshan village, with 5 members of his family.

His eldest son, Xue Xi Gang,is 24 years old, and left school at the age of 9. Married, he left the region to work in the province of Zhe Jiang.
The cadet, Xue Xi Wei, 21 years, followed the same route as his brother.

The mountain of "Wu Meng Shan," land of fire

 

On the mountain of "Wu Meng Shan" in Guizhou province is the village of Ajigen, where 73 Miao minority families live.
The village elders told families that "Ma" (horses) were placed in this land of hunting, making living pleasant for them.
