Launched in November 2007, the Trafigura Foundation was inspired by a desire to consolidate the charitable and community-oriented actions of Trafigura employees around the world and to encourage, support and develop these activities. The Trafigura Foundation has donated over 4 million US dollars to philanthropic and charitable activities in 2008, on all continents, including ID’s biogas projects in South West China. Trafigura mainly donates money to projects involved with education and the environement.

Since 2009, the French embassy in China supports ID China's biogas projects.

GoodPlanet is a foundation that was created in 2005 to raise public awareness of environmental protection and to bring solutions to the Earth’s ecological crisis. The foundation is chaired by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and aims to raise awareness of the planet and its inhabitants. GoodPlanet aims to achieve this by sensitizing all citizens to the world’s problems, mobilizing the economic leaders and governmental policies by explaining the association’s goals and by helping them set up sustainable development procedures, and by implementing programs that propose concrete answers to the environmental crisis.

The Lord Michelham of Hellingly Foundation has always helped ID in its projects. It had contributed to the funding of "Water Access" project in Guizhou and is currently funding a part of "Wood-saving stove" project in Longjie(Guizhou).
